Bridgetown Peninsula Chalets is a farm-stay Airbnb at Hester Brook, just outside Bridgetown in Western Australia’s South West, about three hours’ drive south of Perth. The property has two self-contained chalets, TreeTops and Valley Views, set on a working sheep farm surrounded by native forest and looking out across the Blackwood Valley. A Bridgetown Airbnb built around the view
TreeTops is a three-bedroom cottage with a wood fire, a fully equipped kitchen and a verandah that looks over a farm dam and the valley beyond. Guests book a place like this for misty winter mornings by the fire and long sunsets on the deck, so the photography had to sell that mood as much as the floor plan: the warmth of the living area, the outlook from the verandah, and the forest setting that makes the stay feel like a real escape from the city.
Photographing a country Airbnb
Rural short-stays are harder to photograph well than city apartments. Big windows face bright open sky, interiors are often darker timber, and the view is the main selling point, so every frame has to hold the detail outside and the warmth inside at the same time. I shoot bracketed exposures and blend them into natural-looking HDR, so the valley stays visible through the glass and the rooms keep their true colour instead of looking flat or overprocessed.
